Taxman

This is certainly a post I wasn’t expecting to be writing so soon after launching the Model 1 back in June 2021. It’s been an incredible journey, starting out in a market so saturated was definitely daunting, but I seem to have found some of my people and more are putting their orders in every week. With the rate of new orders ramping up beyond my wildest dreams, some things need to change. 

The first thing to address is I am now becoming VAT registered as a company. For those not in the know, when your business reaches a turnover threshold, you must register to charge VAT on every product or service you sell - that extra 20% goes straight to the Government (for UK buyers only).

The second change is the unprecedented rise in material costs over the past year. In order to continue offering the best materials and parts, Model 1 prices need to be adjusted accordingly. Raising prices is not a decision to take lightly, but I know my customers will respect the need to continue producing guitars that match their growing reputation.
